We celebrate Heritage Month 2017
We celebrate Heritage Month annually from 01 to 30 September by remembering the cultural
heritage of the many cultures that make up the diverse population of South Africa.
History, heritage and culture are all important for fostering social understanding and cohesion.
In light of the above, Drakenstein Municipality, has packaged a historical buildings and monuments
photography competition that will be open to residents of Drakenstein municipal area under
the theme “Heritage in the eyes of a Photographer”. The focus of the competition
is the historical buildings and monuments of Drakenstein area.
- The competition will open on 1 August 2017 and end on 10 September 2017.
- This competition is open to residents of Drakenstein Municipal Area except for
professional photographers, employees of Drakenstein Municipality, their families
or anyone else associated with this competition.
- Entry is free.
- Participants can submit a maximum of 3 photos with the entry form with a short
description on why they captured this building, structure, sites and / or
