Jacqui Samson

Ms. Samson started her career in 1994 with a short stint at the then South Cape Regional Services Council before she joined Tommy Brummer Town Planners in March 1995 until 1996. This was followed by a few months in Miami, USA, where she worked as a professional exchange intern through an arrangement with the South African Planning Institute and Florida International University. Ms. Samson has a clear vision for her department and acknowledges the phenomenal role it plays in socio-economic development.  She also uses innovation to improve efficiencies.

She looks at partnerships to promote economic development and to harness the unique setting that Drakenstein offers. Important to her is to integrate the three to improve service delivery and enable economic opportunities for the residents of Drakenstein, as well as attract more visitors and investment to the municipal area.

Ms. Samson embraces Drakenstein Municipality’s vision of a city of excellence and with her experience at the Western Cape Government and in the private sector, she will definitely contribute significantly towards realising that vision.
