Fire in Paarl claims man's life
A man died in a fire in the Joe Williams informal settlement in Paarl last night.
Drakenstein Municipality’s Fire and Rescue Services received a call at 23:35 and managed to quickly bring the fire under control.
The Municipality has expressed its sympathy to the family and loved ones of the deceased, and is supporting the family with relief aid.
The cause of the fire is still unknown at this stage, and is being investigated by the South African Police Service.
