Louis Pienaar

​Mr Louis Pienaar is Executive Director: Engineering Services from 1 July 2023. Mr Pienaar joined Drakenstein Municipality in 2017 as Manager: Infrastructure Development.

He has several years’ experience in engineering and infrastructure asset management projects for local municipalities in South Africa and has also undertaken asset management project work in Australia. Mr Pienaar has wide-ranging senior management, design, project management and construction supervision experience in the municipal infrastructure and national road construction industry.

Louis holds a civil engineering degree from Stellenbosch University. He is registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) – and is a professional member of the Institute of Municipal Engineering of Southern Africa (IMESA).
