Bringing Christmas cheer to Saron

Drakenstein Municipality is bringing Christmas cheer to the residents and visitors of Saron by including the town in this year’s Festival of Lights.

c The Festival of Lights is an annual municipal event celebrating the arrival of the festive season.

On Wednesday, 27 November 2019, the Drakenstein Municipal Council decided to include Saron in this year’s programme.

Taking place from 30 November to 14 December 2019, the Festival of Lights is a major regional event in Drakenstein, which promotes social cohesion and gives residents the opportunity to share in the festive season spirit, enjoy a delightful display of lights, music and jam-packed entertainment programmes, and exchange well wishes. This year the festival started in Wellington on 30 November 2019; followed by Paarl (7 December 2019); Saron (13 December 2019); and Gouda (14 December 2019).
