"Those who least impact climate change, should not be the ones paying the most for it. Drakenstein Municipality stands for Climate Justice and the equal distribution of the burden of climate change," says Alderman Conrad Poole, Executive Mayor of Drakenstein Municipality.
Today we celebrate World Fair Trade Day 2022 themed: Climate Justice.
"Drakenstein Municipality supports the movement to align strategies and policies to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, which are also embodied in our Municipality's key performance areas.
"We are doing so through strategic partnerships which aim to create platforms and opportunities for our communities."
