"It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the passing of Councillor Vanessa Booysen," said Councillor Stephen Korabie, Executive Mayor of Drakenstein Municipality.
"Councillor Booysen was a dedicated servant of our community, consistently demonstrating compassion and the highest ethical standards in all her endeavours.
"Her unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of every resident was clear through her actions, and her loss will be deeply felt by all who have had the privilege of knowing and working with her," he said.
"Councillor Booysen was more than just a colleague; she was a true leader, offering guidance and support to many. Her tireless efforts and warm spirit have left an indelible mark on our community, creating a legacy of service that will continue to inspire us for years to come.
