We are rooting for Team Drakenstein as they take on South Africa's largest and most demanding firefighter challenge, the Toughest Firefighter Alive Southern Africa Open Championship 2025, at the Garden Route Mall in George.
This intense event brings together elite firefighters from across South Africa, Botswana and Namibia to compete in individual and team relay categories. Participants face gruelling tests of strength and endurance, including obstacle courses, dummy drags, wall climbs, tower runs, and hose hoisting.
Beyond the competition, the event builds camaraderie, teamwork and resilience - qualities that strengthen our firefighting teams and enhance service delivery.
