“Today, as we celebrate Father’s Day, I have the privilege of addressing you as the Executive Mayor of Drakenstein Municipality. This occasion gives us an opportunity to honour the invaluable role that fathers play in our lives and communities.
“What an honour to be called ‘Dad’, ‘Pa’ or ‘utata’. No matter which language you speak, fatherhood is something to be cherished.
“So today, we celebrate all our fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures in our community. Thank you for all the sacrifices you make for your families.
