The Municipality’s Solid Waste department’s street sweeping team delivers a disinfecting service at several hotspot locations in Wellington. This service takes place each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
The hotspots are as follows:
• Melling Street
• Joubert Street
• Willys and Gallico
• Short Street
• Prins Street
• Rose Street
The disinfecting process:
• Application of a diluted disinfectant mixture of Jeyes fluid and water, which is carefully applied to the affected surfaces.
• Thorough scrubbing of the applied mixture to ensure the surface is fully covered.
• A final rinse with clean water to guarantee that the surfaces are fully disinfected and clean.
