Drakenstein Municipality proudly announces its continued participation in the 100 Days Challenge Against Gender-Based Violence, reaffirming our dedication to eradicating this pervasive issue from our communities. This initiative is a cornerstone of the municipality's comprehensive 365 Days Against Gender-Based Violence campaign.

As the only Municipality within the Cape Winelands District to be part of this crucial challenge, the Municipality leads by example, demonstrating our unwavering support for survivors and a firm stance against all forms of gender-based violence.

“We are resolute in our mission to create a community where everyone feels safe and respected. By participating in the 100 Days Challenge once again, we send a clear message that gender-based violence has no place in our society," said Executive Mayor Cllr Stephen Korabie.

The 100 Days Challenge, which mobilises local governments, civil society organisations, and citizens, aims to intensify efforts to prevent gender-based violence, support survivors, and hold perpetrators accountable.

Drakenstein Municipality invites all residents to join hands in this collective effort to end gender-based violence and build a safer, more inclusive society for all.
